Wayang Orang Indonesia Pusaka (WOIP), led by Jaya Soprano, and supported by Djarum Apresiasi Budaya, presented a wayang orang (wayang theatre) show titled “Arjuna Galau” at Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. Directed by Kenthus Ampiranto and choreographed by Nanang Ruswandi, this show tells the tale of Arjuna’s participation in the competition held by Prabu Drupada, at the Pancala kingdom. The show was written as a comedy, in Javanese and Indonesian. A few photos of the show can be found here.
Several popular celebrities like Maudy Koesnaedy, Wulan Guritno, Amink, Tina Toon and Feni Rose joined the cast, along with public figures in the cultural scene such as Yasmin Gita Wiryawan, Bai Papulo, Gendis Wicaksono Soeharto, Inayah Wahid, Manda and Janna Soekasah, Roy Suryo, Linda Amalia Sari Gumelar and Mari Elka Pangestu who also played a part in the performance.
